Nexus Sustainability Consulting

Nexus Sustainability Consulting – Engineering, Water Management, Sustainability and more.

Nexus Sustainability Consulting provides traditional engineering and integrated water management (IWM, or IWRM) consulting services to individuals and organisations who need to create a more unified approach to solving our challenging natural resource demands. Based in Sydney, Australia, Nexus Sustainability Consulting can work with Clients globally for specific projects.

The UN defines IWRM as “the way forward for efficient, equitable and sustainable development and management of the world’s limited water resources and for coping with conflicting demands”

In the three decades leading up to the 1992 World Summit on Sustainable Development in Rio, water management practitioners around the world shared their on-the-ground experience to eventually define IWRM as a practice. The Global Water Partnership’s definition of IWRM is widely accepted and states: “IWRM is a process which promotes the co-ordinated development and management of water, land and related resources, in order to maximize the resultant economic and social welfare in an equitable manner without compromising the sustainability of vital ecosystems.”As such, one of the goals of Nexus Sustainability Consulting is to make IWRM concepts and solutions available to everybody.

I’m currently working on my own video, but until then, please enjoy this case study video from Australia’s CSIRO:

As founder of Nexus Sustainability Consulting, I bring 15 years of experience working in the water sector – both as an engineer, and as a manager. I have an extensive network of contacts in water management, utilities, engineering construction, IWRM, sanitation, sustainability, and ecology who can contribute to the success of your project.
